How did you learn about BSG? What do you enjoy most?

I learned about BSG shortly after university. They were looking to hire a junior accountant and the job sounded interesting, so I applied. While it was not the type of job I was looking for, I’m so happy I took the opportunity. It has been wonderful working with this group.

What is your role at BSG? What aspects of your work do you enjoy the most?

BSG has provided me with many opportunities to grow, learn, and develop. I started off as a Junior Accountant and am now in a new role as a senior accountant. The aspects that I enjoy most of the job are mentoring new team members and working closely with small and medium sized business owners.

What is your favourite feature of our approach to bookkeeping? How has it impacted your work, and your work with clients?

The virtual work we do benefits both of us, the accountants, and the clients. For myself it provides amazing flexibility, mobility, and access to a full team of skilled workers. For the clients, it provides opportunities to automate and streamline their processes and to have access to multiple team members with different skill sets.

Do you have any hobbies/a favourite thing to do in your spare time?

I love to be creative in my spare time through multiple mediums: Crochet, needlework, beading, jewelry making, cake decorating, collecting more and more craft supplies. At this point, I have enough yarn to last several years.

What’s a small business you’d like to give a shoutout too? Can be your favourite bakery, your vet, anything!

There are so many wonderful small businesses in our community! I think I would like to give a shout out to my Personal Trainer, Leslie Robertson of Prime Personal Training. She has been an absolute joy to work with and has been instrumental in keeping me healthy and on track through Covid. Leslie has had to navigate so much in her own life, but while doing so she has helped so many to reach their health goals. She is truly a strong beautiful soul.
