The Position

We are currently searching for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Wafer-scale Photonic Test Engineer to support our manufacturing operation in Malaysia. The Photonic Test Engineer will maintain our production test equipment fleet, and work with local contract manufacturers to execute the product testing of optical transceiver modules and wafer-scale test systems.

The incumbent could be based in Penang or Kulim. Strong candidates for this position will have hands-on experience supporting optical transceiver test equipment.

Key Qualifications

  •  Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Engineering.
  • 3+ years’ industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience in high-speed coherent optical testing of transceivers, including BER, electro-optic bandwidth measurement, electro-optic S-parameter characterization, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of RF electrical testing with demonstrable experience in determining electrical-electrical s-parameters, and 3dB-bandwidth determination.
  • Hands on experience in, and knowledge of, DC-electro-optic testing, such as measurement of IV curves, dark current, photodetector responsivity, pn-diode characterization, etc.
  • Wafer-scale test experience is an asset
  • Fluency in English
